POLICIES
RiverCity has a range of policies in place to ensure that we conform to the standards required in Australia, both as a business and as a cleaning business. They range from the basics that determine how we operate at individual locations, up to the policies required by law to operate a business.
INFECTION CONTROL & CROSS CONTAMINATION
Rivercity includes RTO training for staff as well as conformation to our own stringent processes to eliminate cross contamination throughout our cleaning business.
We have invested in color coding of cloths and mops. Our laundry system is also color coded and includes temperature and chemical sanitation of cloths and mops.
With the onset of Covid 19 we have changed many of our routines, chemicals, equipment and procedures.
PREPARE FOR CLEANING SERVICES
We work hard to ensure that we are as efficient as possible to minimise the costs to our clients. We ask that our clients help us by having their spaces ready for cleaning. We use a lot of allocated time on working around computer cables and power cords, excessive personal items on desks and floors, general clutter and hard to access areas. With the help of our clients we can cut our cleaning time and save you money.
PHOTO POLICY
RiverCity respectfully retains the right to take photographs unless clients specifically request us not to. While most photos are for information, training purposes, proof of damage or work done, we may publish non identifying photos or photos that do not infringe on reasonably expected confidentiality rights of clients. For example, published photos may include homes for sale or lease, accommodation listings, before and after close ups of items cleaned and public accessible locations within in businesses.
CANCELLATION/CHANGE OF SERVICE POLICY
While we realise that unexpected things happen, we ask that clients let us know if they require changes to their scheduled or booked appointments 24 hours prior to the cancellation or change. In return, while we strive to ensure that your booked and confirmed service proceeds, we expect understanding that we also have breakdowns or emergencies that are unavoidable.
We reserve the right to charge a 10% lockout fee if it could have been reasonably foreseen that we couldn't gain access.
COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
RiverCity Cleaning Services prides itself on providing an excellent service to all of our clients, however in the event that you are not satisfied with our service you can use our complaints procedure.
Please speak directly to Joanne or Joseph or use the communications book to detail any issues you may have. Generally complaints and issues can be resolved more quickly and effectively by raising them quickly.
HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY
Our business is committed to Health & Safety and will ensure that adequate resources are available to implement all necessary safe systems at work.
We recognise that we can also have an effect on the WH&S of the businesses that we service. We will contact you if we have any concerns that we may be posing a risk to your business.
A key feature of our Health & Safety initiative is to train every level of our staff to carry out tasks in a safe manner, and to promote awareness of WH&S issues.
Our cleaning operatives receive Chemical handling training and Infection Control Training provided by a registered training organisation. They are also trained in specific skills that are required for the specific locations that they clean.
We currently ask that accommodation locations allow a 48 hour people free period as a safety measure for our staff.
ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
RiverCity is committed to minimising our impact on the environment. We are dedicated to continual improvement, identifying areas within our current operations where we can minimise our impact upon the environment. This is facilitated by our use of eco-friendly products wherever possible, services and processes, and supported by our continual research of available chemicals and systems.

SAFEGUARDING POLICY
We have a Safeguarding Policy in place because we understand the importance of practicing safe recruitment for certain environments.
Our system includes having police checks as well as DHS screening for those that may have access to children or vulnerable people during their work. Many of our locations include SAPOL clearances.
LONE WORKING POLICY
Where working alone is necessary, we take all reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety of employees.
We encourage our staff to carry their mobile phones for safety purposes when working. We constantly monitor aspects such as night lighting, location security and staff ability.
QUALITY MANAGEMENT POLICY
RiverCity Cleaning Services has a Quality Management Policy designed to ensure standards are consistently high.
The policy consists of audit, open feedback from our clients, adherence to all regulations including Health and Safety, regular site visits and communication books.
DATA PROTECTION POLICY
Rivercity is required to process relevant personal data regarding members of staff, clients, suppliers and other third parties as part of its operation.
We will never give client or employee information to a third party unless required by law. In the event that we may need to, that business or person will be contacted prior for approval.
